This November, YOU can join the world's largest teen game jam. Yes, you! It doesn’t matter if you have years of experience, or just learned what they are today.

You’ll join thousands of teens making games from all around the world. Don't consider yourself a game dev? No problem - we have tons of workshops for you to make your game!

This is your chance to learn something new, meet new friends, andgo on an incredible adventure together!

  • Am I eligible?

    If you’re age 13-18, you’re eligible! No prior experience required.

  • Is this free?

    Yes! Hack Club is a nonprofit helping teens build technical projects at no cost. We will be providing free food for both days, and free prizes, thanks to our sponsors and Hack Club.

  • But I’ve never coded before!

    Perfect! Game jams are designed for beginners. You’ll have workshops, mentors, and teammates to help you every step of the way.

  • What if my parents are concerned?

    We’re here to help! You can see our parent guide here, or they can reach out to us at [email protected], or the global Haven staff at [email protected] for questions.

  • I still have questions!

  • Who is behind this event?

    The organizers are Trevon N (@normalperson543, PoC), Tristan T (@tristantrang), Rayyan K (@Rayyan Khalique), Leo L (@FroggLeo), and Scarlett K (@skimarlett). It is entirely run by teens, for teens.The event was made possible by the Norco College's Esports department which sponsored the venue for this event, and our parent organization at Hack Club which provided the funding and resources to host this event.

  • Where will Haven IE be held?

    Haven IE will be held at Norco College, 2001 Third Street, Norco, CA 92860. Details will be sent to participants and will be posted on our Haven IE Instagram account @haven.inlandempire.hackclub.

  • What regions does Haven IE include?

    Haven IE covers the Riverside and San Bernardino counties in Southern California.

  • When and how long will Haven IE run?

    The tentative times are 9am - 9pm on both November 14th and 15th. Note that these dates may change.

  • Where can I get the latest updates on Haven IE?

    Updates will be posted on our Instagram @haven.inlandempire.hackclub, our Hack Club Slack channel at #haven-ie, and to all participants that are registered.

  • What events have you run before?

    The Haven IE staff have run events such as Daydream Inland Empire, where 30 teens across the IE participated in the region's first teen game jam, and Campfire Inland Empire, with 20 teenagers shipping cool games!
